Data Collection
Account Info
DiabeList is a digital platform and mobile application managed by DIABELIST LTD. Whilst you can browse food data freely without an account, creating an optional DiabeList account allows you to save favourites. To provide this service, we collect your name, email address, and password for secure authentication, alongside a unique account identifier.
In-App Activity
When using the DiabeList app, we store your saved favourite items, saved search query information, and an optional profile image if you choose to upload one. We also collect standard technical information, such as analytics, to ensure the application and website function efficiently for all users.
No Health Log
DiabeList does not record, track, or store your daily meals, blood glucose readings, or any other personal health records. Our service is designed for food reference only and remains separate from your medical history and clinical diabetes management protocols.
Data Usage
Information Processing
DIABELIST LTD uses service providers to operate the app and website. We keep account details, saved favourites, saved search query information and any uploaded profile photo while your account remains active. When a verified account-deletion request is completed, we remove this account data from the active app database and request deletion of associated personal data held by our service providers. Use the Delete Your DiabeList Account page to request deletion.
Adalo hosts the DiabeList app, processing interactions and diagnostic data for performance and analytics. Wix hosts Diabelist.com, managing contact forms and technical cookies to operate the site, respond to messages and track visitor usage. Both ensure infrastructure security.
We do not sell personal data to third parties under any circumstances.
User Privacy Rights
Users of Diabelist.com and the DiabeList app in the UK or EU maintain specific protections under data law. You may request access to, correction of, or the permanent deletion of any personal data held by DIABELIST LTD. For any privacy-related enquiries or to exercise these subject rights, please contact our team directly at customerservices@diabelist.com. You also retain the right to lodge a formal complaint with a relevant data protection authority regarding our information handling practices. Visit our Delete Your DiabeList Account page to close your account. You can also delete your account in the app: open Profile, select Delete account, and confirm deletion.
